Lake Nakuru National Park surrounds a shallow soda lake in Kenya's Great Rift Valley, famous for vast flocks of flamingos that fringe the shoreline in season. The park is also a rhino sanctuary, protecting both black and white rhinoceros alongside lion, leopard and Rothschild's giraffe.
Baboon Cliff and Out of Africa viewpoints offer sweeping vistas over the lake and surrounding acacia woodland. The compact park is ideal for a day visit or as a stop between Nairobi and the Maasai Mara.
Bird lovers will find over 450 species recorded, making Nakuru one of Kenya's finest birding destinations.
