Semuliki National Park extends the great Ituri rainforest of the Congo Basin into Uganda, preserving lowland tropical forest unlike any other park in East Africa.
Sempaya Hot Springs bubble at temperatures hot enough to cook eggs, while forest trails reveal hornbills, lyre-tailed honeyguides and other Congo Basin species at the eastern edge of their range.
The park sits in the Albertine Rift near Fort Portal, pairing well with Kibale and Queen Elizabeth on a western Uganda itinerary.
